STOP THE NOISE FROM AURUBIS AND MATERION (and others!)

Do you hear a low-frequency hum at night, morning, and day? Does it disrupt your sleep, cause stress, or make it impossible to enjoy peace and quiet?

Individuals across North Buffalo, from Riverside past Main through Lasalle, and beyond, have suffered for years from industrial noise pollution coming from areas near Aurubis (The Brass) on Military Rd and Materion on Main St.

This noise is real – and it can be stopped.

  • You’re not imagining it - listen to the recordings below.

  • It disrupts sleep, increases stress, and affects quality of life.

  • Buffalo Noise Ordinance makes no exception for industrial noise.

  • Buffalo officials confirm they lack the equipment and training to enforce their own noise laws!

We demand action! The City of Buffalo must enforce its own noise ordinance and hold these factories accountable.

Listen to the noises:

 Materion (2978 Main St)

 Aurubis (70 Sayre - 400-600 Military Rd)

**Disclaimer: The content on this website reflects the opinions and personal experiences of the writers and should not be interpreted as factual allegations against any individuals or entities mentioned. Based on our experiences, the loud noises heard for miles are significantly stronger near these sites. When walking around them, it is evident to us that the sounds originate from their direction. If you hear the buzzing, take a walk around the neighborhood and observe for yourself. For example, if you are west of Starin, visit Military and Race—note the direction of the noise. Then go to Isabelle and Crosslane and compare.

We demand that these industrial facilities immediately commission third-party sound remediation assessments. We also call on the city to take action by thoroughly investigating these noises and their sources.
